Admissions
At Eureka College, we welcome pupils from Form 1 through Form 6. Private lessons are also available.
Day and boarding places are available from Form 1 through Form 6. Our main entry points are Form 1, Form 3 and Lower Sixth (Form 5), though we also consider applications at other stages when places are available.
Joining the school is a simple process which can be done following the stages below.
1. Come to an open event
The best way to get to know Eureka College is to come along to one of our open events.
During your visit you will have the opportunity to meet our Head and Director, Mr Mutimusakwa, along with other key members of staff. There will be talks from the Deputy Head Pastoral and Deputy Head Academic on school life and the curriculum.
You will hear from our pupils about their experience at Eureka College whilst touring our extensive grounds and facilities. And of course, you will enjoy a range of delicious refreshments provided by our caterers, Holroyd Howe.
2. Have an individual tour and meet Mr Mutimusakwa, Head and Director
We welcome visits from prospective families throughout the year. If you are unable to attend an open event, or would just like to see more of the school, please contact our Admissions Team to arrange an individual appointment.
Tours are led by our Sixth Form students. You can also meet with our Head and a Houseparent (if you are interested in boarding) as well as the admissions team.
3. Complete your application

4. Entrance assessments
Once we receive your application, we consider the following when deciding to offer a place:
Form 1 entry (ZIMSEC or Cambridge examinations)
- Your child will be invited to the school for a Taster Day, where they will spend the day getting to know their teacher and new classmates.
Years 3-6
- Your child will be invited to the school for a morning or an afternoon where we will assess the pupils on reading comprehension, mental maths, writing, spelling and non-verbal reasoning.
- We allow the pupils to work at their own speed in a relaxed environment with a member of staff. No assessment preparation is required.
- These assessments are a chance for us to gain information about each child’s strengths and areas for development and identify if any support would be required.
- They will have the opportunity to spend the rest of their day at the school to meet their classmates and take part in lessons.
- A recent report from your child’s current school is also required.
Years 7-9
- Your child will be invited to sit our entrance assessments in English and Mathematics. For 2026 entry, the assessments for Years 7-9 will be held on 28th January 2026.
- This will be followed by an informal small group interview with our Head, which allows us to find out more about your child’s interests.
- A recent report from your child’s current school is also required.
Year 8 and Year 10
- Your child will be invited to sit our entrance assessments in English and Mathematics.
- This will be followed by a one-to-one informal chat with our Head, which allows us to find out more about your child’s interests.
- A recent report from your child’s current school is also required.
Sixth Form
- Pupils applying for Year 12 must achieve 6 O Levels at Level 5 (grade C) or above.
- Pupils should ideally have at least Level 6 (grade B) in the O Level subjects they wish to study at A Level. A report from your current school is also required.

- Our Scholarship Assessment Day for Sixth Form entry will be held on 26th November 2025.
