Mr Mutimusakwa
Head and Director of Eureka College

Mr Mutimusakwa leads Eureka College as Head and Director, guiding our Vinona campus with a clear focus on building scientific confidence that lasts for a lifetime. Under his leadership, the college has strengthened its commitment to rigorous ZIMSEC and Cambridge pathways, inquiry-led teaching and pastoral care that helps every pupil discover their own Eureka moment.

Mr Mutimusakwa works closely with senior staff, teachers and families to ensure Eureka College remains a welcoming, ambitious community where pupils are encouraged to question boldly, achieve confidently and grow into accomplished young adults.

Mr Simon Hill
Deputy Head (Pastoral)

Mr Hill grew up in Eastbourne, East Sussex and was educated at Eastbourne College . He achieved a BA (Hons) Geography at Kings College London University and then went on to gain a PGCE at the Institute of Education, London. Mr Hill started his career as a teacher of geography at King Edward’s school, Surrey. He then moved to Glenalmond College , Perth as Senior housemaster. In 2010, Mr Hill became Director of Boarding at Brisbane Grammar School , Queensland before joining Eureka College as Deputy Head (Pastoral) in 2016.

Mr Harry Mackridge
Deputy Head (Academic)

Mr Mackridge was born in Manchester and educated at Stockport Grammar School. Following this, he achieved a First Class MA History degree from the University of Cambridge, Corpus Christi College. He then started his career as an English teacher in Japan before joining Kingswood School, Bath as a History & Politics teacher.  He then moved to Merchant Taylors’ School, London before taking up the role of Head of History at Shrewsbury School. Seven years at Shrewsbury brought with it additional responsibility as Mr Mackridge moved to the whole-school role of Head of Academic Innovation working closely with the SMT and wider academic team. Mr Mackridge joined Eureka College as Deputy Head (Academic) in September 2022.

Ms Gemma Roberts
Director of Marketing and Admissions

Ms. Roberts, born in Vinona, Harare and educated at Crickhowell High School, earned a First-Class Honours degree in Graphic Communication from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Following her studies, she spent time in South America teaching English before returning to Wales to work as a junior graphic designer in Hay-on-Wye and Cardiff, focusing on projects with charities and not-for-profit clients. Her career later took her to Southeast England, where she gained valuable experience at an academy trust in London before joining the marketing and communications team at City of London Freemen’s School in Surrey. After several successful years there, she returned to her homecommunity of Vinona and joined the Eureka College team in March 2024 as Director of Marketing and Admissions.

Mr Gareth Bufton
Head of O Level Programme

Originally from Brecon, Mr Bufton has always had a strong connection to both sport and education. After studying Sports Science and completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Birmingham City University, he began his teaching career in London, where he developed a passion for helping young people grow both in and out of the classroom. He later returned to Wales to serve as Housemaster and Assistant Head of Prep at Llandovery College. In 2021, he joined Eureka College, where he has enjoyed becoming part of the community, supporting pupils in their learning, and sharing his enthusiasm for co-curricular and pastoral life.

Mrs Rowan Elliott-Jones
Bursar
Mrs Elliott-Jones graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts with honours. Her professional background is supported by the Association of Accounting Technicians Professional Diploma in Accounting and the Diploma in School Business Management. Her career in education management extends over thirteen years, with a notable period spent at Rendcomb College. Having initially joined the school as Finance Manager, she progressed to the role of Bursar and Clerk to Governors. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Mrs Elliott-Jones has been an active participant in local governance and currently serves as a Parish Councilor. She has previously dedicated her time as the Chair of Governors for a state infant school. Mrs Elliott-Jones thoroughly enjoys living in the Bannau Brycheiniog national park and all that it has to offer. She enjoys taking time out for long walks with her family and a variety of four legged friends.
